Love it . . . .
Beautiful.
That was simply wonderful. I got tossed off the net for trying it first time but well worth the effort and rebooting lol.
I think anything can count as a portrat of the self, espessaly photography. After all we are so complex we have created religons to attempt simplicity. BTW the print of the circular symbol is imbeaded in the pavement all though china town in phillidelphia. My friend and I were wondering what it ment.
May you Be Blessed as well~my Friend~
In Light~
That really was nice.
I have seen this, very beautiful!
Beutiful image
Dear Internet Islander,
I’m trying something new this week, so please excuse the fact that I’m sending this same message to you and to all the Internet Islanders as a comment. I just wanted to announce that there is a NEW TOPIC POST at the Island. You can get there by clicking this link. Please drop by and see what kind of “imaginative” topic post I’ve created this week. I sure hope you participate! We seem to get stronger with each Topic Post.

ryc:…yes, very much so…and the greatest thing to come of all this is that I am painting again!! So far, very basic…red and black…”sorrow”, “heartbreak” and “angst”, more to come. I can email them to you if you would like to see.

I’ll try to come by later and check this out. Gonna be late for work if I click.
an interesting experiment…
Although I’ve seen something similar in the past, it was beautiful to be blessed again, just now. (And thank you for the lovely comments you always make at my place.)
Last summer I hiked the high country south of Jasper. I had been in the area before but never on the particular trails I explored last year. One particular trail lead to a high alpine meadow filled with infant blooms atop a soft carpet of blue-green moss and lichens. The trail ended there; it faded away quietly in memorable soft beauty, but it ended. I was disappointed when I turned around to retrace my steps off the mountain, wishing there had been more. As I reach the end of your submissions the feeling returns. This end of mine was your beginning.
Peace

Slag Runner, what a beautiful story, your writing amazing. And, hmmnn, I’ve lots of posts at Xanga, just privatize them after awhile, they go back a few years in the archives. I tried to leave, but have friends here, so still post now and then to keep in touch.
Your hiking trip sounds amazing! In 1985 my soon-to-be and now ex husband & I drove to the Rockies and spent a week camping at Takakow Falls, hiking during the day. It was stupendous, sublime, awesome. And the Alpine Meadows, oh yes! Reading what you wrote I found myself retracing steps up mountain trails over two decades ago!
Thanks for dropping by…
